Why SeanVegas?

When people first hear the name Sean Vegas they seem to think it's some adult film star...


So why the hell would I call my brand SeanVegas?


Few reasons...


1 - IT'S BRAND-WORTHY


If I tell 20 random people the name Garth Wilby and ask them to recall it in 2 hours time maybe 3-4 will get it right....if I'm lucky!


If I tell them Sean Vegas, my success rates jumps to 10 people or more.


2 - I CAN'T SELL MY NAME


If at some point I want to sell my business, I'm not going to sell my own name now am I?!


That would be a bloody travesty unless I was getting enough money to relocate to an island I can name...unlikely.


3 - UNIQUENESS


I like seeing the "dividing 11 by 3" look on peoples faces when they hear the name.


I know their dirty little minds are thinking it's some sort of gigolo experiment....that's ok.


As long as it's not boring.


I can't do average or boring, life's too short...next.


4 - IT'S PERSONAL


Sean is the name I wanted as a kid and Vegas is my favourite place in the world to visit for a long weekend...


I love the Vegas brand.


I love the entertainment.


I love the escapism.


I'm an action junkie.


Enough said.


5 - IT'S FLEXIBLE


I'm a creative type, or is that schizo type?


Both I think...


Regardless, the name allows me to pivot into fields beyond content development and marketing.


I'm thinking custom design of things I like down the road...


I'll start with vehicles perhaps, move into clothing, who knows...but I'm not limited.


IT'S A WRAP


When you're deciding on your brand name I think the 5 points mentioned above go into the ingredients of the brands soul.


I'm an emotional type and the story is important to me.


I think good brands are unique, flexible, meaningful and even personal.


So that's the story I cooked up.


"Love it or leave it, you better gangway,

You better hit the bullseye, the kid don't play. "
